How Did You Do in the First Few Weeks of Coronavirus?

You have just gone through the first few weeks of the WFH during the COVID-19 crisis. Pat yourself on the back because no one else will with social distancing rules in effect.

Have you:

  1. Successfully transitioned your sales team to WFH status?
  2. Held at least one online team meeting?
  3. Connected with a least one of your customers online?
  4. Done any training for your sales team?
  5. Have you shared success stories?

COVID-19 Plan

If you answered “yes” to all 5 questions, you have passed the week 1 COVID-19 crisis plan! Please comment below with a “yes”.  If you haven’t covered all 5, which of these 5 have you had a challenge with and let’s see if the community can help.

Like most sales leaders, you are trying to adjust to the immediate and basic needs of your business. I understand that business continuity and productivity are critical.

In discussion with sales leaders, there is no one size fits all recommendations. Each industry has its own set of challenges and opportunities. Much of this depends on your customer and what the impact is on them.

Here are 3 examples:

  • If you are selling to hospitals and you are not selling protective equipment, then there is no way your customers want to see or hear from you.
  • If you are selling servers or cybersecurity, then your customers may need to ramp up their capacity or be better at protecting their system from hackers as access has now increased exponentially.
  • If you are selling sales incentive trips, you may want to find things to keep you busy.

What’s Next?

Do you have this week mapped out? It’s OK if you are still figuring it out.

What’s Your Plan?

Do you have this week mapped out? It’s OK if you are still figuring it out.

There is so much uncertainty regarding the impact of coronavirus on your people, business and customers. Are you prepared if this crisis lasts until June? What if it goes on until Oct or even Dec?

To navigate this storm, you need a well thought-out 90-day plan to ensure when this crisis is over your team will be stronger, better and more respected by your customers.

Is your Q2 relevant, or do you need to REvise it? Have you mapped out a plan that covers these 5 elements?

  1. REmote
  2. Customer REality
  3. REset Goal
  4. RE-Focus on What’s Critical
  5. REview and REvise

Is this crisis making you feel overwhelmed, anxious and stressed?
