There are so many sales books written, which make it difficult to separate the engaging books from the dry academic ones. “Selling Fearlessly: A Master Salesman’s Secrets For the One-Call-Close Salesperson” is an engaging book loaded with real-life selling stories. It is written for all salespeople but specifically targets the one-call-close simple-sale salesperson. Written by my colleague Bob Terson, Bob shares his success stories from his outstanding sales career. His stories touch on the ups and downs of what salespeople face on a daily basis. The stories are told in a heart-warming and easy to read format.
I can relate to many of the stories Bob shares. The book reminds me that sales is a game of averages. You don’t hit a home run every time you go up to bat. Sometimes you get knocked down or strikeout. What Bob reminds us is that you can’t let fear stop you from getting up each day and going out and selling. Selling is a noble profession, thanks to professionals like Bob.
The book is formatted into four sections: Bridge to the Triangle, Mental Attitude, Work Habits, Salesmanship and divided into 57 short, easy to read chapters that allow the reader to absorb each element of selling without reading the entire book. There are many captivating stories and practical applications raising the curtain on the real world of selling.
If you want to be inspired and feel good about your ups and downs in sales, as well as pick up some sage advice, I would highly recommend buying Bob’s book.
Enjoy the read!
